As the year draws to a close, we take a look back at the authorative source on all things money, Forbes, and check out what was on their list for the most expensive cars of 2006.
Any chance they might be any cheaper now? Hahaha.
Can’t wait for the ‘07 edition to come out.

Powered by a 620-horsepower V12 engine, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is touted as the new Super Coupe. And, pretty much like other things with that incredible prefix, this new uber-car from Ferrari is earmarked for anyone but us.
Not that it is a bad thing. The rich have the money, why not titillate them. And, as a testament to the voting power of the rich’s money, the Feriano looks every inch a century ahead of the $650,000 Enzo Ferrari. Or of any car, for that matter.
With a top speed of over 205 miles per hour and a 0-60 mph acceleration under 3.7 seconds, the Ferrari 599 GTB Feriano is a racetrack god come to us.
The rich are trully different from you and me.
Here’s something a little different.
Did a double-take first time I saw it. Plush on the outside. Pretty intricate and detailed isn’t it? Got me thinking, is that a black VW bug covered in lace, or is that the car’s actual frame?
Anyhow, this is certainly one way of adding "plush" into your car. And hey, it stands out too. Certainly a welcome bit of auto creativity.
I wonder what happens to it when it rains though…

Okay, so i don’t really know if real, live jaguars roar. But I suppose that they do. The Jaguar engine sure does.
Anyway, that’s besides the point. I saw a Jag XK on the road the other day. Thing’s a beauty isn’t it? And they cost a lot of money; nearly a hundred grand a pop. Still cheaper than the Maybach though. Hahaha.

Anyhow, you can learn more about the XK on Jag’s website. That’s http://www.jaguarusa.com/us/en/xk/models_pricing/models.htm.
And we dream on…

MMM. That’s the title post abbreviated. And that’s the sound you’re most likely to make when you see this car:

THAT, my friends, is the Maybach Exelero. It’s a concept car based on the Maybach 57 that was featured earlier. Eye candy, isn’t it? It’s no slouch either, reportedly reaching speeds of 200mph++ with a 0-60 of 4.4 seconds.

The Maybach Exelero. MMM.

The Maybach. The May what?
What happened to the Benzes and Ferraris and Rolls Royces?!
Hang on, we’ll get there. For now, I’d like to start of with something a little more obscure. One by Daimler Chrysler (Yep, same guys that brought you the Mercedes Benz). You can check it out at their official site:
http://www.daimlerchrysler.com
And you’ll get to read even more about it on http://www.howstuffworks.com:
Here’s a picture of its roomy interior:

And I quote:
It has every creature comfort you can imagine, and several that you may have never thought of. The list of standard and optional features includes:
- A built-in refrigerator, operated by its own compressor
- The previously mentioned electro-transparent panoramic glass roof
- Solar cells built into the roof to operate a ventilation system while the car is parked
- Ten air bags: four normal airbags for all four passengers, four side-impact airbags and two curtain airbags
- Charcoal and pollen filters to clean incoming air
- Ambient lighting
- Writing desks that unfold from the armrests
It doesn’t just have a sunroof. It’s got a panoramic roof people. A PANORAMIC ROOF. ‘nuf said.

Luxury cars. Plush and posh; movable dreams that cost a fortune. Are they worth it? If you’re an everyday schmoe like me, probably not. I’d have better things to spend my money on. But for the more fortunate few, it probably is. There’s no better way to travel, no louder statement of wealth than a 6figure-priced luxury car. Makes you want to chant 666 and sell your soul to the being you end up conjuring up. Kidding.
These are the creme de la creme, the playthings of the rich… and perhaps truly bored. And the object of our dreams. At one point or another, we all dream of plush cars and their posh interiors. Might as well make a list of them.
